Tiffany Blue and Red Outdoor L'abri at Linwood Wedding

We're sharing a really fun wedding with you today! Alex and Sandra submitted their red and Tiffany Blue L'abri at Linwood wedding to us, and it is filled to the brim with fun details and bright colors. We're particularly enraptured with the groomsmen's bowtie and suspender combos, along with the unique styles of the bridemaid's dresses.

The photographer, Alex Miller of Ray of Hope Photography, share's this fun recap of the wedding day for this sweet Triad couple:

Sandra and Alex’s entire wedding day was filled with such RAW, beautiful emotion, and it was such a joy to capture! From the time the groom’s face lit up during the first-look, to the dancing and laughter at their rustic, barn reception, every moment was like something straight out of a fairy-tale. The bridal party attire was made of suspenders, bowties and dresses that were styled to match each bridesmaid’s personality. Blue skies and golden sun shined down on the ceremony, which took place in front of L’Abri at Linwood’s large, welcoming pond. There wasn’t a single dry eye around as they read their hand-written vows to one-another, and made their promises of a lifetime together. Immediately following, the new husband and wife trusted me completely as we chased the sunset and trudged through overgrown fields just to catch picture-perfect moments! Warm string lights that were hung from the barn ceiling gave the reception just the mood it needed to get the guests dancing, and toasts and cheers filled the air until the bride and groom made their grand exit to begin their new journey together.

How They Met

Alex and I went to the same college ( Lenoir Rhyne University) and we knew of each other but our hearts were never in the right place until senior year. My roommate Kelsey and I got beat out by the baseball team on a house we wanted to rent senior year. I would come to find out that Alex was one of the guys living in the house and our relationship sparked over a play fight about getting beat out of the lease.

Was it Love at First Sight?

Yes. The night I left his house I looked at my friend Allison and said, “I don’t know why I feel this way but im gonna marry that boy.” Everyone would always tell me, “When you know, you know,” and I never believed them until the night I met Alex.

The Proposal

It was Valentines weekend and he surprised me by taking me to the beach with some great friends. That Saturday morning on February 15, he asked if I wanted to go walking on the beach and as we were out there he suggested we start looking for seashells. So as I am searching I hear him say “What about this one?” I turn around to find him on one knee with a seashell ring case. When I opened it he had glued my new initials in the top and my engagement ring was in the bottom. It was by far the sweetest moment I have ever been a part of in my life. Just as I was wishing I would have gotten a picture I see all of our friends pop out of the dunes with cameras. Best day ever!

Is there anything you would change about your wedding day?

The only thing I would change is that I would eat more throughout the day! I got so hungry by the time of our ceremony that I felt like I might pass out but it was the best day of my life hands down.

any extra special notes from your big day?

Every little girl pictures their big day, but mine was surprising because I never imagined it would be that beautiful. Alex and I were surrounded by more love from our family, friends, and our Savior. My heart was so full. Debbie (the owner of L’abri) treated us like we had been a part of the family for years. Her daughter Ally was our photographer and it was so nice having someone that could capture all of the moments that we still laugh and cry about today. I had my flowers, DJ, decorations, and catering all done through Table Décor and More. Jerri Patterson ( the owner) had me in tears when I walked into our reception for the first time. She understood everything I wanted to a T and our reception was magical. We were more than blessed on our wedding day and I truly felt like a princess!
