Elegant elopement at the Bella Collina Mansion

Every once in a while, we receive a wedding submission that is really different from the rest. There is something so incredibly special about Josh and Kaylee McDaniel's elopement. The couple shared an intimate ceremony with only one another and immediate family at the Bella Collina Mansion. We loved the elements that fully embodied comfort, like the personal setting, and the Vans that both the bride and groom wore alongside their formal wear.  We'd like to thank Aura Marzouk for a wonderful spread of photos, and the McDaniel's for sharing their special day with us. Take a look.

How did you and your fiancée begin dating?

"We were actually in the same Anatomy class in college, so it was very easy to get to know one another! We were both at a time in our lives where we weren't really looking for a relationship. Luckily, fate had other plans for us. We started out as friends, just studying together until I(Kaylee) finally made the first move! And I guess the rest is history."

Was it love at first sight?

"I think we both felt a connection almost immediately to each other. It is something I (Kaylee) can't explain- I was drawn to Josh. It only took a couple of months to realize that we might have actually found the 'one'!"

What was the most unique element of your wedding day?

"Because we did the elopement package, there was no rehearsal of any kind. We basically ran through the ceremony ten minutes before it began! Joe at Bella Collina was absolutely amazing at making us feel calm, cool, and collected. We also did a first look, where we got to interact with each other before the ceremony and take intimate pictures. We are glad we made the decision to do that!"

How would you describe your wedding day?

"In a word-perfect. Absolutely perfect. We wouldn't have done it any other way. We knew even before we started wedding planning that neither of us wanted a huge to-do. At the end of my wedding day, as long as I had a husband, that's all I really needed or cared about! Everything else was just an added bonus.  We ended up doing the elopement package at Bella Collina Mansion with immediate family only, and again, it was perfect!"
