There's something very special about weddings that make a real statement. Felicia and Brian's ceremony at Bella Collina did exactly that. Most noticeable were the absolutely stunning pops of color in the bridal bouquet, the grand ice sculptures, and the lavishly colored Persian plum bridesmaids dresses. This wedding looked like it came straight from classic Hollywood. The theme was "A Night at The Bella" and we have to agree, even the smallest touches transformed this wedding into a movie premiere. From the accents of gold in the breathtaking confectionery (ten cakes to be exact!) to the movie ticket style stationery, we absolutely adored this weddings classic, yet bold feel. We are so excited to feature Felicia and Brian's special day with this phenomenal spread of photos from one of our vendors, Human Graphics Photography. Some of our favorite shots are the first look by the bridesmaids and the stunning photo of the couple on the Bella Collina grand staircase...Take a look!
How did you and your husband meet?
"We met at an event during Winston-Salem State University's Homecoming weekend. I was visiting my cousin and he was there as an alum."
How did he propose?
"We got engaged on 11/12/13. Brian planned a surprise outing. I thought it was just for my birthday, but it was also for the proposal. He rented a limo to take us to Fleming’s Steakhouse, where flowers and champagne were waiting on our table. Right before dinner, he got down on one knee and popped the question. I was completely surprised! After dinner, he surprised me again: he had his sister, our matron of honor, decorate our home with candles and rose petals."
Describe your wedding day
""Amazing!!! We were married lakeside and tried to incorporate the movie theme throughout the entire wedding process. Our save the date was a “Coming Soon” movie premiere flyer and our invitation was an admission ticket. Guests entered the ceremony on a red carpet. During cocktail hour, ticket stubs served as our escort cards and we served concession stand appetizers, consisting of nachos and pizza bites. Our reception included a "step and repeat" photo booth and popcorn bar. "
