Kate and Matthew were married on May 11, 2013 at Magnolia Manor in Colfax, NC.
I love a wedding with lots of fun and cute details. This is one of those weddings! They had a year to plan and Kate knew that they had a budget to stick to, so they put the money where they needed it and were able to use some of their family's own creativity to pull together the rest. All of the planning and decorating were done by Kate and her family. Her mother made the bouquets out of fresh flowers from the local farmer's market, the invitations were handmade and her father-in-law even welded the shepherd's hooks for the aisle, himself. The light fixture they had hanging above them in the ceremony tree was from an old church that Matthew grew up in- what a neat way to bring in something special from your past! The couple had Jenga pieces laid out for guests to write a message as they entered the ceremony and corn hole boards for the guests' entertainment later in the evening. There were mason jars in place of drinking glasses to add a cute southern flare at the reception and the guests even had individually boxed treats to take home with them at the end of the night! What a simply delightful wedding these two were able to share with their loved ones!
